Why should I see an Esthetician?

Skincare treatments are wonderfully relaxing and healing and can be made simple with the right professional products. Many of us need a little guidance and education on how, when and what to use. My job is to help protect the skin from environmental hazards, even out fine lines, wrinkles, dull, and pigmented skin tones. I am also educated in managing conditions such as acne, Rosacea, eczema and dry skin to name a few. Other perks are hair removal, tinting and lash perming that enhance our beauty and save us time.

Are your products natural?

Yes! Alpenglow is very selective with skincare products and they must embody social, environmental and sustainable responsibilities as a company. Sanitas Skincare uses biogenic ingredients which are substances found in biology and innately found in the skin. Their products are not watered down nor tested on animals. They are professional strength and free of all irritants: parabens, phthalates, sulfates, dyes, perfumes, harsh preservatives and gluten.

Advanced Treatments

What is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is the exfoliation of skin cells using microcrystals and vacuum suction to resurface the skin. This signals fibroblasts in the dermis to produce more collagen, thus tightening pores, reducing wrinkles and plumping fine lines. Pores are more clear of oil and debris and pigmented skin will lighten as the new cells are pushed to the surface. Alpenglow uses a professional grade USA Dermaglow II machine and corundum crystals.

What is High Frequency?

This treatment is uses a gentle oscillating and oxygenating power of high frequency electrical current to eliminate toxins and acne-causing bacteria, also aiding in lymphatic drainage and healing of congested skin.

What is LED Light Therapy?

Light Emitting Diodes accelerate the skins healing from inflammation, acne scaring and kill acne forming bacteria. Skin texture and tone are improved, pore size reduced, hyperpigmentation lightened and collagen production accelerated. This is a painless facial addition MUST HAVE for all skin types.

What is a Chemical Peel?

A peel is a controlled deep exfoliation of the skin using chemicals. Alpenglow offers two levels of peels, each providing unique benefits for different skin conditions. A light peel (Lactic Acid, Glycolic 20%, Beta 17%, TCA 10%) improves acne scars, skin texture and reduces the effects of sun damage. Our deeper peel (Glycolic 30%, and Jessners) targets fine surface wrinkles and corrects pigment problems such as age spots. I suggest clients new to chemical peels start with the lightest peel or a pre-peel home regiment for 2-4 weeks, then progress to a stronger treatment. Peels are not limited to adults and are extremely effective for teen acne. How much or how little a client "peels" depends on the peel and client.

Hands down one of the most effective methods for firmer, tighter, younger and glowing skin!

Hair Removal

Why should I wax or sugar?

When you shave you cut the hair off at the thickest point of the hair and leave the bulb of the hair in the follicle intact which allows the hair to continue to grow. As the hair grows back the thick part of the hair has to push through the skin and it can lead to itching, irritation, and that lovely “stubble” feeling. When you wax the hair is pulled out of the follicle completely, leaving skin super smooth. Waxing lasts way longer than shaving because once the hair is waxed out of the follicle a new bulb has to develop and grow and that can take 2-6 weeks to happen. I DO recommend having your first 3 or 4 waxes done in 4-6 week increments to get all the hairs on the same growth cycle to maximize time between your future waxes :)

There are many options here ladies so lets customize how much or how little you want removed.
